We are excited to announce the second edition of our international Summer School in R for Bioinformatics! The Summer School is beautifully located in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage city of Visby, Sweden, and during 2 weeks (10-20 June) you will get the opportunity to learn R from internationally renowned R wizzards and senior bioinformatics staff from NBIS/SciLifeLab. We believe that RaukR will take your bioinformatics R analysis and visualization skills to a new level, so don’t miss out on this unique opportunity! This year, we are focusing even more on statistics and machine learning!

Guest speakers

Jenny Bryan — software engineer at RStudio, data science professor at UBC,
Yihui Xie — software engineer at RStudio (online).

Main Organizers

Marcin Kierczak — Bioinformatics Data Scientist at NBIS,
Sebastian DiLorenzo — Bioinformatics Data Scientist at NBIS.

In Life Science and Bioinformatics R is increasingly being used transform and analyse data, perform statistical analysis and produce publication-ready visualizations. This Summer school will focus on advanced R functionality to increase the participants skillset and understanding of what is possible to do today. This year, we will also focus on advanced statistics and machine learning for bioinformatics using R.
