RaukR 2020 CANCELLED

It is with heavy hearts that we have chosen to cancel this years RaukR due to the COVID19 pandemic. Even if the situation in Sweden is stable in June, which most prognosis’s doubt as of writing, it is impossible to guarantee for the rest of the world. Therefore, this is not the time to be hosting an international course.

We hope that you will apply to the course again next year. You can get a notification about it from us by registering at here.

If you want to check out the course materials from last year, you can find them here.

We wish you all the best. See you in 2021! Stay safe and healthy.

We are excited to announce the third edition of our international Summer School in R for Bioinformatics! The Summer School is beautifully located in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage city of [Visby](http://en.wikipedia.org/Visby), Sweden, and during almost two weeks (07-18 June) you will get the opportunity to learn R from internationally renowned R wizzards and senior bioinformatics staff from [NBIS](http://nbis.se)/[SciLifeLab](http://www.scilifelab.se). We believe that RaukR will take your bioinformatics R analysis and visualization skills to a new level, so do not miss out on this unique opportunity!

Guest speakers

Jenny Bryan — software engineer at RStudio, data science professor at UBC (possibly online),
Max Kuhn — software engineer at RStudio,
Yihui Xie — software engineer at RStudio (online).

Main Organizers

Marcin Kierczak — Bioinformatics Data Scientist at NBIS,
Sebastian DiLorenzo — Bioinformatics Data Scientist at NBIS.

In Life Science and Bioinformatics R is increasingly being used transform and analyse data, perform statistical analysis and produce publication-ready visualizations. This Summer school will focus on advanced R functionality to increase the participants skillset and understanding of what is possible to do today. This year, we will also focus on advanced statistics and machine learning for bioinformatics using R.
